Seminar on NDC Update
On October 15-17, 2024, the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Moldova, in collaboration with the NDC Partnership and GIZ Moldova, organized a seminar on updating the Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC). By the first quarter of 2025, a new contribution must be developed and submitted to the UNFCCC.
Roundtable on NDC Implementation
On October 18, 2024, the Ministry of Environment, together with the NDC Partnership, organized a Roundtable with development partners to strengthen joint efforts for the implementation of the Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) under the Paris Agreement. The main objectives of the meeting were:
- Presenting the results of NDC implementation and developing recommendations for updating the NDC;
- Defining Moldova’s priorities and the necessary support for the development of NDC 3.0;
- Exploring opportunities for engaging development partners for support and technical assistance;
- Strengthening dialogue and coordination between the Government, development partners, and other stakeholders in the field of climate change and sustainable development.
